One month left

so I've been feeling like I'm completely over summer and ready for school to start so I can just get on with getting done and now that it is almost here I'm having an anxiety attack. I know it will be fine but the thought of three full days a week away from my girls seems like alot. Shelby doesn't even want to go to her ballet class lately because I have to wait out in the hall. I think it's the whole changing their school thing. If they were going back to their same school I wouldn't be as worried because they loved it but I'm afraid the new school is going to be like starting all over again. I just pray they have some amazing teachers like they did last year.

Princess Shelby's 4th Birthday Bash

Shelby decided she wanted a princess party for her birthday this year and of course I got completely out of control with the planning. We decided to combine it with her cousin Colton's birthday since they are only about 10 days apart and make it a princess and knight party. We outfitted all of the knights with swords and armor as they arrived and all of the princesses with jewelry, tiaras, and wands. Then we had princess horsey rides.

Next we had the luncheon with star shaped sandwiches and fruit with purple dip.

After lunch the knights played pop the balloon with the joust, shot a bow and arrow, and slayed a dragon pinata. The princesses played does the slipper fit and pea under the mattress. Then the doorbell rang and Shelby went to answer it. Believe it or not it was Cinderella, "the REAL Cinderella" with Prince Charming. She wasn't to sure what to think at first but once they got out the REAL glass slipper they had brought for her the smile came back. They sang songs and danced and took pictures with the girls then they delivered glass slipper party favors on silk pillows filled with candy. They helped blow out the candles and the kids attacked the dessert table. It was a hit but as my brother told me. "you know next year you could just fly her out to Disneyland for about the same cost and less work." This may be true but I may only get to do a princess party once. She's already informed me that next year for her birthday she wants to be a Rock Star. They just grow up sooo fast.

And last but certainly not least it was present time. The favorite by far: Two New Kitties!

4th Celebrations

We had a little get together at my parent's house this year for the 4th of July. We have grown a bit disenchanted with the City of Lubbocks parade the past few years and so this year we decided to just do our own thing and let the kids have their own parade which was WAY more fun for them and us. Then we barbequed and did sparklers and pop its in the driveway. The next night which was the actual 4th we sat out in our backyard and could see about 5 different fireworks displays. Just one of the benefits of living out in the country.

Happy Birthday Sally and Gria

The girls decided to throw a birthday party for their dolls "Sally" and "Gria" they made hats and baked them a cake and sang happy birthday to them about 8 million times.

Legacy Park

All winter long we would drive by this park and Shelby would beg to stop however they don't open it until May so as soon as it was open we called Aunt Kasa and Aunt Shayla and Grandma and headed to Legacy Park. It's a really cool park with this gigantic fort/castle thing they can run around in and go up and down to all of the different levels. It was a little hot but we hung out in the shade and watched them play.

Ta Ta Visit

My sister Tyanya and 3 of her 4 kids came for a visit just after Peyton's birthday. My girls just love to hang out with her "big kids" they had fun swimming and going to my nephew Riley's baseball game. We only get to see them about twice a year so we really like it when they come for a visit.

Thanks Mimi

Mimi has the best taste in little girl clothes. They got practically a full wardrobe for their birthdays here they are modeling some of their new fashions.

Officially Summer

The first swim day was May 22nd this year. I guess that means it is officially summer. The water was still way to cold for me but my girls decided to brave it with my sister Shayla (Aunt La La) and her dogs Monster and Lexie. Peyton just sat on the edge but Shelby jumped right in and started paddling along.

Pey Pey is 2!!!

Peyton's birthday was May 21st she had a ladybug party and was all decked out in her party tutu. I'm really not happy at all about her being two, she is my BABY my little Pey Pey Smushie Face. She still likes to play "tiny baby" sometimes though where I hold her like a baby and rock her and sing "Mommy's tiny baby" to her over and over. It usually lasts about 30 seconds and then she's over it. Why do they have to grow up so fast?

My sister in law Danette made her the most awesome lady bug cake ever. I bought 1500 ladybugs from a gardening store and we made little jars with about 10 in each to give to each of the kids with their party favors. The rest of them we released around this tree so all of the kids could watch them. It was definitely a hit!
